While building these pages for our website, I asked my computer guy what this page heading meant. He explained to me that back in the share cropping days, "the furnish" was what the landowners provided to the share cropper in return for them working his fields. These included, among other things, a home, tools and animals, credit at the "company store", food and sometimes a small percentage of the crop. This was their hard-earned pay for their work. Later, the term was used, as in Muddy Waters case, as the deal a recording artist would receive from the record company. And so, in gratitude for checking out our Shaker line of microphones, we offer these informative links as our "furnish" to you.
